Holding Space for Women Who Hold Everything During Women’s History Month

There are moments in business where you pause and realize this is bigger than you.

This Women’s History Month, I had the opportunity to attend the Shhh No More Ladies Conference as a vendor, while also having Urban Serenité Apothecary featured at SHE:DC.

These were not just events.

They were spaces created to uplift, support, and celebrate women.

And what I experienced was more than business.

It was a reminder of why I started.

Standing in Rooms Full of Women

Walking into the Shhh No More Ladies Conference, there was an energy you could feel immediately.

Women from different backgrounds, different journeys, and different seasons of life were gathered in one space.

Yet, they were all carrying something.

Responsibility.

Ambition.

Pressure.

Grace.

What I Experienced

As a vendor, I had the opportunity to connect with many women one on one.

While they were drawn to the products, the scents, the textures, and the experience, what they were truly seeking was something deeper.

They were seeking relief.

A moment to pause.

A way back to themselves.

What Women Shared With Me

In conversation after conversation, I heard the same themes.

I do not take enough time for myself.

I am always pouring into everyone else.

I just need something to help me relax.

These were not just casual statements.

They were honest reflections.

And it confirmed something I have always believed.

Women do not need more products.

They need permission to care for themselves.

Why Urban Serenité Exists

Urban Serenité Apothecary was never just about skincare.

It was created from a place of needing peace, softness, and intentional care in my own life.

Standing in those spaces this month, at the Shhh No More Ladies Conference and through SHE:DC, I saw that same need reflected in so many women.

This is what Urban Serenité was created to hold space for.

Natural, handcrafted body care that nurtures the skin

Aromatherapy that supports emotional wellness

Rituals that help women slow down and reconnect

Self care is not a luxury.

It is a form of restoration.

Being Featured at SHE:DC

Being featured at SHE:DC during Women’s History Month was deeply meaningful.

It reminded me that this journey is not just about building a brand.

It is about building legacy.

It is about showing my daughters what it looks like to create something with intention, to stand in purpose, and to grow through every season with grace.

Women’s History Month More Than a Celebration

Women’s History Month is about honoring the women who came before us.

It is also about acknowledging the women we are today.

Women balancing careers and motherhood

Women navigating healing and growth

Women building businesses and breaking cycles

Women who continue to show up even when they are tired

We are living history in real time.

A Gentle Reminder

If there is one thing I took from this month, it is this.

You deserve care too.

Not just when you have time

Not just when everything is done

Not just when everyone else is okay

But now.

Whether it is a warm bath, a quiet moment, or a simple ritual, allow yourself to pause.

Because in that pause, you return to yourself.

To every woman I met at the Shhh No More Ladies Conference, every supporter through SHE:DC, and every person who has poured into Urban Serenité Apothecary, thank you.

This month reminded me that what I create matters.

Not just as products, but as experiences.

Here is to women.

Here is to softness.

Here is to restoration.
